Icemaker Line/filter choices

I managed to break the line to my icemaker on my Admiral refridgerator(I don't know what model, made in 1993). The line was that idiotic plastic stuff. I am going to replace it with either copper or braided steel. I am having trouble finding an inline water filter for the icemaker that doesn't require plastic tubing for installation.

Anyone have any models that they are happy with that will have threaded connections? Thanks.
