I am putting in a slide in stove (stovetop blends in with counter) with a convection oven. It will be right by a window so I am unable to have an updraft vent above the stove.

What I want to do is make my own downdraft fan. I would have a grate in the wall that would hold the stainless steel filters and it would vent directly outside.

Right where the stove is, I installed a bay window that has a box frame underneath where I can hide these components.

Does anyone have suggestions on where I would find the motor/ducting/grate/vent etc.?

Tips on how to wire it up and set up the ducting would also help.

Jamie
