High Definition Radio

Posted by No Marconi on February 3rd, 2007 12:32 AM

I recently purchased a High Definition AM/FM Radio (Sangean HDT-1) which, for the most part, gets a good signal using the supplied FM "ribbon" antenna. On some occasions, however, the signal "fades" in and out. I tried an amplified indoor AM/FM antenna from Radio Shack, but this actually did not work as good as the ribbon antenna. I live approx 20 miles north (crow's flight) from the city I am trying to receive (Boston); I am surprised I am having this problem at all. Has anybody with a similar problem found a good indoor FM antenna? Any suggestions?
