Hi,
Due to a major plumbing problem, last month we had to have all the sewer pipes under the basement floor replaced and put in at the correct pitch. After cutting through the floor to get to the pipes, the plumbers found that the concrete was as thin as 1 3/4 inches in some places (instead of the 4" it should be), and we ended up having to have nearly half the basement floor dug out and re-poured because sections around the areas cut out to reach the pipes began to crack loose. It was a freezing cold day when the truck poured the new concrete floor. Four days after it was poured, as the concrete hardened and the color lightened, I noticed the new floor has a crackled look, like alligator skin. After all we've been through with this mess and expense, is this crackled pattern all over the floor anything to worry about? I guess I just need some reassurance/input before I call the concrete company to ask about it. Has anyone expereienced anything like that?
Thanks.
