Gas or Electric Baseboard?

Looking at a house which needs a complete makeover. They have gas baseboard heat in each room now but are very old and need replacing. Is it better to buy a gas baseboard heat or electric? I can run the electric myself.

I'm talking cost per baseboard and cost to run.

There are 6 rooms 2 small rooms(10x11)
