A couple of possibilities...

* 1. Return it to the seller. It could be that a previous owner had fish in it, lost power while they were away and the fish went bad smelling up the fridge.
* 2. Do both freezer compartment and refridgerator compartment smell?
* Empty out everything. Remove any pieces that are held in by screw's.
* Spread Arm and Hammer Baking Soda liberally on every surface. You may have to wet the surface to make the soda stick.
* There is a tube or vent where the chilled air is recirculated. Clean it out also.
* Let the baking soda remain in the fridge for a few days.
* I hope this works for you. It did for me.
