My house is 46 yrs old and has asbestos siding. Some pieces are missing, it's looking pretty ratty and the whole house needs painted anyway. So I'm planning on replacing the siding with something that looks better (I guess I'll have to go with vinyl) in the Spring (when I have the $$). My question is, should I get the window trim scraped and painted before the siding contractor shows up, or after? Which makes more sense?
BTW, on the order of things--I'm also having the roofing and flashing replaced at the same time as the siding, as well as calling in an exterminator for carpenter ants under the eaves. Who says I'm a glutton for punishment.
