I've had my Silestone counter top maybe 48 hours. Yesterday my handyman finished installing the sink. And, of course, like everyone else he left his mark. A small chip. But now I'm chuckling with a sick stomach after reading all these posts and wondering if I've made a mistake. Silestone costs are higher than granite and the fact that we must live with chips is crazy. Why can't they use the same process that created the smooth edges to begin with to repair the chips? Isn't there a grinding tool or paper to polish the edges off again? How where the edges smoothed, polished and shined? Anyone?
