Wiring Baseboard Heaters Posted by tynwilliams on February 24th, 2007 05:11 PM
I have been replacing some of the old single pole thermostats in my home which control my electric baseboard heaters. There are 2 units connected one breaker and 4 on the other, which I will call breaker a and b respectively.
I have been very careful that i match up each of the (2) wires to a new thermostat to the same they were connected to by the older unit. As I have done so one heater on breaker a quit working, and one heater on breaker b that hasn't worked since before we bought the home began working while another one quit working?? Am i missing something here? can you offer any hints or advice. Thanks! Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
