hardwood floor gaps

moved into our new house november, 2006. The hardwood floor in two different locations has a split or seperation about 1/4 inch wide the entire lenth of the room. The installer claims no responsibility. He says it is the sub flooring. the contractor says it is not the sub flooring but the humidity. my concern is not what is causing it but how it can be fixed. Can anyone tell me if this is something i just have to live with or is it a problem the floor company should fix. thank you Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
