foundation work on existing house Posted by mike3b on February 27th, 2007 12:51 PM
I'm trying to put a floor into a house that has already been erected on a concrete slab.
The slab is too low and almost level with the ground. I need to bring the floor up about 20 inches (to allow for craul space).
The house is 28'x 40' single story rambler on a concrete slab.
I'v been looking for a special kind of jack to get under the wall plate to the slab. I'v heard it called a tow jack, foot jack, and forklift jack among other names. could you tell me what I really need to get this floor up and off the ground? Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
