Good quality, yes but... it is a twin tank immediate regenerated type softener using water power rather than 120 vac or 12-24 vdc electric power.

Twin tank type softeners are not required by most households because they have an hour and a half during the night once a week or less when no water is being used so a regular softener can regenerate without the household getting hard water.

Twin tank softeners cost a lot compared to a regular softener and take up more space. And a regular softener with a control valve that has variable reserve, is the same efficieny if not better due to once a week regeneration as opposed to the twin tank regenerating much more often IF it has short small diameter tanks like many Kinteico softeners.

The regular softener will probably use less salt with it's once/week regeneration rather than multiple regenerations with fewer pounds of salt. That usually causes the twin tank to use more water than a regular softener.

So if you use water at all times of the day and night, then you need a twin tank type softener. If that's the case, then look at all twin tank softeners, not just one brand. Most twin tank softeners will have a Fleck Controls control valve on them.
