Do I need to paint a Jeld-Wen Smooth Fiberglass door

I just purchased a brand new Reliabilt smooth premium fiberglass patio door made by Jeld-Wen. Does anyone know if this door NEEDS to be painted or stained. I wanted to leave the smooth white finish if I can. If I do not apply a finish will the door become damaged? There is little sun in the area. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
