HM61 to replace hm30

badbeef - 5 years is the normal (in my experience) period to need a replacement for the Taco circulator pump at the top of the HM30-150. When the circulator pump goes bad, then the HM30-150 stops working; the Lennox guys don't seem to understand the importance of the pump so they offer to do a whole-unit-replacement at large $$$.

Go to ebay, search for any TACO model 006 circulator pump (two now offered at under $50 currently - plus shipping), get pump, remove cartridge motor from ebay-ed pump (4 bolts to remove in 3 minutes), exchange with old cartridge in the HM30 and you're done for another 5 years - next buy another Taco pump for 2012.
