Thanks for the response! It is just a 3 season and just trying to keep a bit of the heat of the sun out on hot summer days so only plan on putting 1 layer of foamboard. How can I provide ventilation? the foamboard will run from roof edge to roof edge with no access to vented soffit. If I were to run higher strapping than the foamboard how could I support the metal roof between the strapping and where would the air get in (the roofer says that he is putting a cap around the edge).
