I take the blame on this one! I fixed a damaged wire in my basement. I cut out the bad section and added a new wire. I used a junction box. My problem is that I think the old cloth type wire, which was not labeled may have been 14 guage. I added a 6 inch piece of 12 guage. Is this dangerous? I know its not up to code. But should I worry about it?
