Water in undground gas hose

I agree with John Boy. I just replaced the gas line to my home grill with CSST and the local gas utility had run an old version of "poly" that had a mechanical fitting on both ends. It was FULL of water to the point that it seemed like it was blocked!

The fitting was out of date to todays standards for sure.

I went with CSST to avoid underground joints, but you can accomplish the same thing with an up to date poly connection or SCH 40 PVC sheathed black pipe.
