HELP!!! I have a kitchen tile floor that has tiles seperating from thinset after approx. 9 months. All work was done in accordance with basic tiling rules. Floor was completely removed down to 2x10 (16" o.c.) joists (this is a crawl space). 3/4 " plywood was screwed to joists, then 1/2 wonderboard attached via screws to plywood. Thinset was mixed correctly and applied before dry. Tiles stuck when tested after 3 days of drying. Only thing I did not do that was an option was to thinset wonderboard to plywood. By the way the span in the kitchen is 12' 6" for joists. I want tile in my kitchen, but I can't move forward with repair since I don't know what the problem is...HELP, HELP.....HELP, Did I ask for help?????
