Hardwood floors do not require a moisture barrier under them except where the installation might be made over a concrete slab.
Without knowing what type of subfloor you mean and what type of hardwood floors you intend to install (3/4" solid, engineered glue application, engineered floating)we can't help further. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
