I'd like to know how to do this also. I've tried everything short of replacing the tile. I have access to and have use strong acids, including hydrochloric and phosphoric. I tried wetting it first and chipping with plastic or wood. Metal scratches the tile. Isn't there something that breaks it up for scraping?
