Rita, I'm trying to choose a kitchen counter too. I ruled out natural stone for 4 reasons ; stone is unforgiving on dishes and glasses , seams are invisible on Corian , more color choices with corian , and most important to me I wanted an integral sink which you can't do with stone. I'm told you can sand out any scratches on Corian but you probably would never scratch granite. I also understand stone is great for dough-work.
