Counterware is a built-in cutting board that consists of a solid surface cutting board with a stainlesss steel housing pan that mounts flush to the countertop. The cutting board easily lifts out of the half inch deep housing pan and can be put in the dishwasher. The installation is pretty easy by laying the template on countertop and putting pencil mark on countertop. Then you drill a starter hole in the corner with a drill bit large enough to accomodate a jig saw blade and continue to cut out the temolate mark. The stainless steel housing pan installs just like a stainlees steel sink with mounting hardware that only takes up about one half inch under counter and does not interfere with drawers or untensils in them. The housing pan can also be glued down with silicone or clear ktchen and bath caulk without the use of the mounting hardware.This product works wonderfully because its easy to install, mounts flush, and the cutting board is secured within the pan-no sliding around.
