A few years ago my retired in-laws had a contractor reside their 100 year old home. What they did in the process of installing the siding would appear to be "NON- ENERGY EFFICIENT"! They striped the old siding to the old t&g board and never put any house wrap ie; tyvek (r) etc. not even felt paper was applied before the Styrofoam t&g board which they hung vertical with gaps you could lose a hammer in. Anyway, the heating and cooling coast have been astronomical since this so called expert job. I'm just wondering of anyone has any ideas as to pursue this issue and have the contractor maybe redo the job . Any leads/ideas/help is appreciated.
