Refurbishing gas cooktop burners

Thank you, Dan. Unfortunately we are reluctant to replace the burners as Jennair has changed the design. Two burners retail at about $199 and you need four to match. No, they are not dirty. The burner "cup" (where the flame exists) is pitted I was hoping to spray paint them after someone could instruct me on a way to make them smooth. I don't know if this is possible to do. I have heard some folks take parts of their cooktop to auto body shops and seem satisfied, but I am not sure if that is what I would need to do. I hope there is someone out there who may have attempted the rehab project...
