Hot water to my toilet!

Posted by stuartschifter on August 9th, 2007 12:14 PM

I just bought a home built in 2001 a few months ago. In the office bathroom I noticed last week that the faucet hotcold water was connected backwards.
This morning the housecleaners noticed that the toilet water is HOT!

I first thought the faucet connections were wrong an easily fixed. This means the mistake is behind the walls!

The toilet is right next to the vanity. Is the toilet line typically branched off the cold water lines to sink?

Can I live with this or should I have a plumber in to remove the vanity and open the wall to fix?
