Here are the answers to your questions.

Do you mean it runs at the same speed on any of the different speed settings or it will only run when on one particular speed selection?

It just runs at 1 speed. If you try to change the fan speed with the remote or the panel, nothing happens. It stays at one speed (medium I believe).

What exactly do you mean by that? (bogging down).
The motor sounds like it is straining to keep up. The sound of the normal hum changes to more of a choppy sound (like mowing a lawn, then hitting a very high patch of grass, where the mower bogs down).
After a period of time, the unit will shut itself off.

Everything? Fan and compressor??
Yes, everything. The temp display on the panel is blank, the unit is completely down. If you try to restart, nothing will happen. You will need to wait about .5-1 hour to start it back up.

I will look a little closer for the diagram. My original thought was the Electronic Control also. I didn't know if there were any other switches/relays I should need to know about. Thank you very much for taking the time to help out with this..
