Anchoring a heavy computer desk. Posted by Heather on August 15th, 2000 12:11 AM
OK, I just bought and put together one of those inexpensive computer desks for my secondary computers. It's a student desk, but has a shelf for a printer and a keyboard. The thing is, it did not come with casters, or feet, so when I place the computer on it, it really wobbles. Not a big deal normally, but I have a small cat, and I don't like the idea of the thing falling on her when I'm not here! The instructions mention anchoring it to studs in the wall, but I live in an apartment so that's out. So, what is a good way to stop the wobbling and make the desk stable? Are adding casters a good idea? My other computer desk has them, and is VERY stable. Any other ideas? Let me know, as this is REALLY frustrating! Thanks!
