basement humidity

when air is cooled and no moisture is added or removed the relative humidity levels increase.

As the air in a basement is naturally cooler thanthe upstairs the RH will be higher and in some case even get condensation on the foundation.

I like a system where sheetfoam is glued directly to the foundation walls and and then stud or furing stripps installed and then a finish surface.
