I am installing a new hanging light fixture over the kitchen table where the wires weave through the hang chain and into the electrical box. The fixture wire has two black wires rather than a black and a white. One of the blacks has writing on it that appears to be the specs of the wire. Is this the hot wire or the neutral wire?
