brick basement Posted by dave1893 on August 12th, 2007 12:11 AM
I have an 1893 house with some water issues with the brick foundation. About half of the brick is above ground level. I was planning on digging out around the perimeter of the house and sealing the brick below ground level from the exterior. I also wanted to bury drain pipes from my gutter leads to a huge cesspool under my driveway (I had a new system put in and was advised I could use the older one as a drywell).
1) Should I also put in pipe for a french drain?
2) What type of material should I use to seal the sub ground level exterior brick? Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
