The side near the bottom (sill?) of the exterior doorway wood frames are deteriorating and those still in good shape are exsorbing water when it rains. So the inside carpets are getting wet. 1. Do I need to replace the entire side of the wood frame that is damaged? Or can I patch in wood or is epoxy a choice? 2. To protect in the future....I read about using aluminum formed to frame w/a sealant to protect the bottom corners...is that the best method in the new england climate?
Note: 2 Doors are anderson french doors. On one the wood has rotted about 1-1/2inch, one shows water marks. The other is the garage door.
