I have a working unit from a 1993 GE induction 36" cook top that worked when I replaced the GE with a Diva. (The left and right are identical on mine, just flipped around) I will sell as is, for the effort involved in shipping and shipping costs. Make me an offer.
It is heat that kills the GE units. The cooling air comes in on the right rear so the left unit runs hotter, and the large unit in the rear gets hottest. While you are in there be sure to remove all the dust buildup from all heat sink fins. You will have to take it apart to get to some of them. Clean them when ever they get dusty!
BTW, the Diva DP4 is wonderful, the touch switches are almost immune to water, it has much greater power output than the GE, a smaller foot print and larger usable cooking surface.
