Hello, I have an old armoire. Maybe from the 1920's. It has original stain and varnish. I would like paint it and antique the finish with maybe a glaze? I've never done this before and would like some advice. Do I need to remove varnish? Can I just rub a de-glosser over it then paint. Acrylic or oil paint?
