For many reasons it is best if the replies are posted in the forum. Many reason for this. One is that other can learn from it.

In most case the manuals do't memtion the keypad. You need to look at the keypad manual.

"Model 53609"

That is not a valid number. I assume that you mean 139.53609.

If so that uses a remote with 8 or 9 dipswitches to set the code.

There where 2 different keypad systems used with this style of opener.

A wireless one and a wired one.

Chamberlain makes the Chamberlain/Liftmaster/Sears units. They use common parts. He is a manual for unit that uses the same replacement control board as yours. So it is somewhat similar.
