The problem here is mildew. It's in the house and actually coming up from underneath. All the flooring must be removed and all the wood left treated with a 10% bleach solution. This may not possibly cure it as the mildew is very hard to kill. A new floor will look good for some time,however, if all the mildew is not removed or killed, it will return, showing up as a grape/black stain.
