My mother had wood paneling in my old bedroom that she wanted to make into an office. She bought stacks of paper bags from the grocery store for a penny a piece and tore the bottoms off and then ripped each bag into 4 of five peices. Then she simply used wallpaper glue and applied them to the walls. Let it dry and then she painted over them (lavender). She masked the uneven seams at the edge of the ceiling by hot glueing thick black rope around the whole room. It looks gorgeous! We did a accent wall in our home but we didn't paint it and everyone comments on it. Saying that it looks and feels like suede. People think we spent alot of money to do it.
