I have no comment on this question. But, I have had to replace many of these shakes that have been damaged either by hail or just wear and tear. I know that the staples are very hard to remove from the walls when you try to replace them. The staples seem to hold very well and I imagine that by air, they are good to shoot. As long as they are zinc or galv coated, I would stay with them. Stay cool, Steve
