When I awoke this am the replace word was in the Lux 1500 L.E.D. window with no functions on the thermostat available. I pressed a tab on the bottom of the unit in and the unit came off the wall. Inside I replaced two double A batteries and it all lit back up. Replaced it back on the wall mount, and all is good!
