Microwave Ventings

A. NEVER VENT ANYTHING INTO A CRAWLSPACE.

B. NEVER USE "HOSE" FOR A COOKTOP VENT. In fact "hose" should not be used for any venting. You can use flexable regidt aluminum piping for a clothes dryer, but only the minimum needed for hookup. A stove vent much be metal piping.

C. DON'T VENT INTO A VENT.
The pipe needs to run through the outside walls to clear air.

Check the specs on the vent to see the max allowable run include any elbows.

To make the holes you can use a masory bit and drill a number of small holes around the diameter of the hole. Then knock out the center. TRy an go between the webs.

Or you can rent a rotary hammer drill and core bit.
