Mahogany Decking

Hi. My GC and I decided on mahogany decking for my new front porch because i wanted the best. I saw the tag on the shipment of wood he is using and it says red meranti by Boston Cedar & Millwork. Does anyone know what this is? Is it real mahogany or is he trying to put one over on me?
