Waynes Coating Removal

We are removing waynes coating in our dining room. It was installed before we moved in. It seems to be glued really good to the drywall. We started to remove some of it last night, and it is pulling off drywall. Please help, any suggestions of an easy way to remove it so that we don't have to replace the drywall / wall????
