you can try to use an adhesive remover. the way to do this is to first pry the top of the waynes coating and use a wedge to hold it off the wall and soak behind the wood. the only problem with this would be possible water damadge to the drywall. the only other way to do this would be with a circular saw and a putty knife. set the blade depth to just shy of cutting all the way through the waynes coating and make cuts in the waynes coating in small increments then use the putty knife to "cut" the bond of the adhesive between the wall and waynes coating. you can try to use a heat gun to soften the adhesive and make it a little bit easier
