flush supply lines

Thanks so much taz060171 for your helpful guidance. Can I impose on you with a few more questions please? I am unable to locate where the supply line comes into the house(solid foundation)--is there an (easy way) to locate the supply line other than to start digging? How do I test the pressure in the supply line and/or determine if there are any leaks? Do I need to do any prep to the pressure tank, the apparatus that intimidates me the most! Go slow here--you are talking to a city girl. I'm pretty confident the supply from the spring is good--it supported a family of 6 for about 50 years. Much appreciated.
