restoration of old wooden floors??? Posted by blizzard07 on November 9th, 2007 05:29 PM
We demolished an old dairy barn and used the recycled materials to construct a saltbox house. The entire first floor is the origonal barn floor of 2" pine tongue and groove. Several tongues were damaged and bad weather (unprotected wood) let gaps between boards.
My first attemt on the K floor was 20 yrs ago, using wood filler-didn't hold up
Second attempt I used a pourable apoxy-held up a few years longer than filler.
I'm now 52 yrs old w/a bum back. I want a nice floor that will hold up. I want this to be the final assault on my floor.
Please what can you suggest? I'm So desperate! Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
