I had good success removing calk from an acrylic shower using a couple of BIC Sensitive shavers.
Before using the razor you need to remove the protective guard that crosses your face ahead of the blade. I used a vise grips so the tension was just right to snap off the guard without damaging the blade.
You need to be careful that none of the guard remains. Also pay attention to the blade getting dull or clogged. I finished the shower in approximately 20 minutes.
