Drywall got wet - do I need to replace

Posted by mcev0223 on November 9th, 2007 10:59 PM

I had my humidifier that attaches to my furnace leak. It is clean water but leaked for a few days. It got into my drywall and the drywall was soft when it was wet for about 3 feet up.

Now it is dry and the drywall is hard again but I worry about mold. It smells musty in this area although everything is dry.

Does the drywall need to be replaced!
