cigarette burn in carpet

Use tiny scissors to snip away the burn. Now you have a little hole! Next, snip some fibers from a healthy patch of "hidden" carpet - like in the closet or next to a wall. You only need a bit of fiber, but snip as close to the floor as possible without unraveling anything. Now dab some Elmer's Glue into the burn hole. Pack the fiber snips into the hole. Step on it, to pack it in, then let it dry. Voilla!
