If you have a twelve foot long wall, you have twelve linear feet of wall. The length of an item is commonly just stated in inches, feet, miles, etc. However, it is understood to mean linear inches, feet, miles, ets. (as opposed to square feet or cubit feet). Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
