lines on ceiling and walls

Some one please help, I'm at a loss. I have a 24 x 42 single story ranch. Throughout the entire house i have dark lines on the ceilings that are directly under the ceiling stringers. So it looks like some one took a can of gray spray paint and made lines 2 feet on center throught my house. It seems like it started at the exterior of the house and is moving inward. Also, where ever there is a screw, that has turned into a black dot. This started on the ceiling and is now moving down the walls in the same manner.

I thought that it might be mold or mildew so I checked for moisture. I climbed into the attic and pulled back the insulation and found NO moisture, The back of the drywall looks as new as the day it was installed. I have also tried poking at the black lines themselves to see if they were rotting from the interior out. Again the drywall is completly solid.

I've had thoughts of the house being too humid or not humid enough, the drywall shrinking or mold and mildew and nothing seems to make sense. Please help before I start tearing down drywall, I'll probably be sleeping in the doghouse at that point
