There are lots of places out there with steamers to rent if you get desperate. Removing wallpaper can be a big pain especially if the person who put it up did not prime the wall properly before installing. A steamer will usually do a good job for most papers. There are also chemical compounds you can get a most paint stores or hardware stores. Once the surface is off the wallpaper they seep into the actual paper and melt the glue. It makes it easier to scrape off the wallpaper.
